Child Safety Standards
Operator: Foo AI Corp. · Effective: 2026-09-22 · Contact: support@fadetalk.app
This is also the point of contact for platform operators, including Google, and for law enforcement. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first — in Korea, 112.
1. Our Standard
FadeTalk has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. The following are prohibited without exception, whether the content is real, edited, or generated:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any sexualized depiction of a minor, including drawn, edited, or AI-generated material.
- Grooming — building a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes — and any sexual solicitation of a minor.
- Sextortion, and the threatened or actual sharing of a minor’s intimate images.
- Trafficking of minors, and the advertising, solicitation, or arrangement of sexual contact with a minor.
- Using FadeTalk to direct anyone to CSAE material or contact elsewhere.
Violation results in immediate removal of the content and termination of access — a first offence is enough — and is reported to the competent authorities. The same standard applies to text an AI feature proposed: our AI only drafts text that a person chooses to send, and the sender is responsible for it.
2. What FadeTalk Is — and What It Deliberately Is Not
Most of the risk a messaging product carries to minors comes from strangers being brought to them. FadeTalk has no mechanism that does that, and this is a product decision we intend to keep:
- Conversations are 1:1 or small-group only. There is no public feed, no comment section, no livestreaming, and no public posting of any kind.
- There is no discovery, no recommendation, and no random matching. We never suggest one user to another. A conversation begins only because an account holder shared their ID code or a link they created.
- Profiles are minimal — a display name, an optional photo, and a code. There is no browsable directory and no search by name.
- There are no ads and no behavioural profiling, so no system in FadeTalk has any reason to put a minor in front of an adult.
- Someone joining through a link reaches only the person who created that link, for that one conversation, and the link owner can decline, block, or destroy the link at any time.
3. Age
- FadeTalk is for people aged 14 or older. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 14 to use it, as an account holder or otherwise.
- Age is confirmed at sign-up, and again by anyone joining through a link. It is self-declared: we do not verify identity documents today, and we would rather say so than imply a check we do not run.
- If we determine that an account belongs to someone under 14 — from a report, from the account’s own content, or from any other signal — we delete the account.
- A parent or guardian who believes their child holds an account may write to support@fadetalk.app and ask for it to be removed.
4. Reporting, Inside the App
- Report is available on a message and on a person, from the conversation and from a profile. You choose a reason — harassment, sexual content, spam, or other — and can add a description in your own words. Use sexual content with a description for anything involving a minor; it reaches the same queue and is triaged first.
- Block ends contact immediately and does not wait for us. Blocking someone does not withdraw a report, and being blocked does not remove anyone’s ability to report.
- Filing a report freezes an evidence snapshot at that moment — the relevant messages and the reported person’s profile photo — so the evidence survives the reported person deleting it, and survives the expiry of a timed conversation.
- A guest who joined through a link can report without creating an account, and can leave the conversation at any time.
- Anyone, user or not, can write to support@fadetalk.app. We act on reports from people who are not users, including parents and guardians.
5. How We Respond
- Every report gets a first review and action within 24 hours of receipt, and we remove violating content and eject the person responsible.
- A CSAE report is acted on immediately, ahead of that queue. We suspend the account — which removes its messages and its profile photo from view at once — remove the content, and preserve the evidence.
- We report to the competent authorities without delay. In the Republic of Korea, reporting child and youth sexual exploitation material is a legal duty, not a discretionary step.
- Evidence in an escalated case is held under legal hold: it is excluded from the routine anonymization that otherwise applies after one year, so it remains available to an investigation.
- We respond to lawful requests from law enforcement, and we require lawful process before disclosing user data. See the Privacy Policy.
- An account terminated for CSAE is not reinstated on appeal. Our general appeal route is in the Terms of Service.
6. The Limits of What We Do
Naming these is part of the standard, not an exception to it. A page that implied controls we do not run would be the more dangerous document.
- We do not scan message content automatically. FadeTalk runs no hash-matching or classifier over conversations; detection is report-driven, which is why the Report path above is the one that matters and why we commit to a response time rather than to detection.
- Age is self-declared (Section 3). We do not verify identity documents.
- Message expiry does not shield a report. Messages in a timed conversation are deleted when they expire, but a report freezes its evidence at the moment it is filed, so a conversation that has since expired can still be reviewed and acted on.
- We cannot prevent someone photographing a screen with another device, and we do not claim to.
7. Designated Contact
- CSAE point of contact: support@fadetalk.app
- Responsible person: JEEHO SONG, Chief Executive Officer, Foo AI Corp.
- Company: Foo AI Corp. · Business registration 284-81-02702 · 359 Gangnam-daero, Seocho-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea
We do not operate a customer service phone line; this address is monitored and is the route for users, parents and guardians, platform operators including Google, and law enforcement.
8. Keeping This Page True
These standards are published at fadetalk.app/child-safety. We review them at least once a year and whenever the product changes in a way that affects them — in particular, if a way for people to reach each other is added, this page is part of that release, not a follow-up to it.
